Built on purpose.
Rooted in design.
Architectural design for homes and small commercial buildings across the UK — run stage by stage, priced up front, and explained as we go. Architectural designer-led, and deliberately small.

A small practice, run properly
We design extensions, new build homes, barn conversions, garden studios and small commercial spaces. The practice is led by a qualified architectural designer, working with an assistant and a practice owner.
Because we are small, you deal with the person doing the work. Drawings arrive when we said they would, costs are discussed before they become decisions, and nothing goes to planning that you have not understood first.
We would rather be known for how a project feels to run than for a back catalogue. That is the part most people find hard, and it is the part we have organised carefully.
Read our processOne person, start to finish
You speak to the person drawing your project. Nothing is handed to a team you have never met.
Fixed stages, fixed fees
Every stage has a written scope, a date and a price agreed before it starts. You approve each one before we move on.
Planning risk named early
We tell you where the risk sits at the first survey, not after a refusal. Some ideas get ruled out in week one.
Selected projects
All projectsTerrace rear extension, Walthamstow
A wrap-around extension that steps down 300mm so the new kitchen reads as its own room rather than a corridor to the garden.
Barn conversion, Suffolk
A Class Q conversion keeping the frame exposed, with new insulation and services threaded behind a lining rather than through the timber.
Garden studio, Bristol
A 14m² timber studio built within permitted development, detailed so the cladding weathers evenly and the roof stays invisible from the house.
